Glenna Ryer is a Philadelphia native now based in central New York where she designs costumes for theater and film. She holds an MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in costume design and a BFA from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in drawing and painting. Her recent productions include Angels in America and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at Redhouse Arts Center, Measure for Measure and Fucking A at Hamilton College’s Romano Theatre, and A Date, A Birth, and Business as Usual at Colgate University’s Brehmer Theater. Glenna also teaches costume design in Hamilton College’s Department of Theatre.
Glenna’s favorite things about central and upstate New York are its many opportunities for hiking, studying nature, and research in the area’s treasure trove of antique shops.
