Glenna Ryer is a Philadelphia native now based in New York City where she designs costumes for theater and film. She holds an MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in costume design and a BFA from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in drawing and painting. Her most recent productions include the New York Times Critic’s Pick Red Emma and the Mad Monk at The Tank in NYC, Billy and The Killers and Heartless Bastard at HERE Arts Center in NYC, and the short film Knights in Newark, an Arlo Films production. In addition to her design work, Glenna has taught as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Middlebury College in Vermont and an adjunct professor at NYU Tisch's graduate Department of Design for Stage and Film.
